Control Electric Company Receives “Mission Builder Award” from WIRE-Net
CLEVELAND, OH, MAY 1, 2017— Control Electric Company, an industrial automation integration firm based in
Columbia Station, OH was one of five Northeast Ohio companies receiving the “Mission Builder Award” presented
by WIRE-Net.
The honor recognizes companies committed to growing their businesses locally and have invested in their surrounding
communities. The award was given during WIRE-Net’s 2017 Annual Meeting held at Renaissance Cleveland Hotel Grand
Ballroom on April 25. WIRE-Net is a non-profit economic development organization dedicated to improving the community
through nurturing manufacturing and the jobs and prosperity that come with it.
Founded in 1961, Control Electric Company offers a full range of industrial automation services including industrial
controls, robotics, custom industrial machinery, and engineering services. Over the past decade it has experienced
steady growth.
“This growth has led to the development of a new business unit in 2013, Omni Automation, which provides robotic and
custom machinery solutions. During 2015 we moved into our new state-of-the-art facility which manufactures advanced
automation systems,” says Michael Vogt, President of Control Electric Company.
Control Electric Company has a highly-skilled workforce that includes electrical engineers, mechanical engineers,
project managers, software engineers, control panel builders, mechanics, and installers. “Our team works together
with clients to understand their automation needs and then tailor high quality, cost-effective custom solutions using
the latest products and services,” says Vogt.
Control Electric Company earned the Mission Builder Award by giving back to the community. “As part of our commitment
to local manufactures we continue to offer free automation audits to companies in northern Ohio. Beginning in the
third quarter of 2017 our Columbia Station facility will offer free lunch-and-learn automation updates to local businesses
to help them navigate the rapidly changing world of automation. We also recently partnered with the Medina County Career
Center to employee and train high school seniors in the software engineering and precision machining technology career
majors,” says Vogt.
